Todd Pallett

Todd is a Partner and Managing Director of EXS Capital. He focuses primarily on working with individuals and families to protect and grow their wealth.

Todd has provided sophisticated private wealth management services to high net worth individuals and family offices since 1996. He has worked with a broad range of clients and has a wide and deep understanding of the financial issues and concerns facing expatriates living in Asia and Asians with international businesses. He is a recognized leader in the industry and the author of “The Wealthy Aussie Expat”.

Todd was a founding member of the AMP Financial Planning program in Australia and was awarded best financial adviser in his inaugural year. Later headhunted to HSBC Australia, Todd was appointed as New South Wales (Sydney) State Manager of Financial Planning at the age of 26.

Todd spent 2 years during 2000 and 2001 as National Manager of a technology company specializing in payment and banking transactions and was instrumental in the company listing on the Australian Stock Exchange. The eventual Internet collapse and hostile takeover led to the departure of all directors and provided great experience in such cycles.

Moving to Hong Kong in 2001 Todd joined the largest independent financial advisory firm in Asia and in 2004 founded the Estate Preservation Centre (EPC) division and provided counsel for their Australian Specialized Expatriate Division. In Todd’s final two years he was awarded financial adviser of the year for the Hong Kong office.

Todd was accepted into the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table in 2005. This is awarded to the top 5% of the insurance and estate planning industry worldwide.

Outside of the financial services industry Todd is a former two times Australian Heavyweight Taekwondo Champion and represented Australia at the 1994 World Championships where he won bronze in his first international outing. Now retired from competition Todd enjoys recreational running for charity with his wife for the Child Welfare Scheme Charity in Nepal where previous funding efforts have built day care centers to house local children.

Todd was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, and graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Commerce, Property Major. He has been featured in publications for Benchmark, Prestige and Chambers of Commerce Magazines.

Todd is one of only a handful of Australian expatriates living in Hong Kong who holds dual security licenses in Hong Kong and Australia. He holds an Authorized Representative License in Australia through Sentry Financial Planning Pty Ltd, an ASIC (Australian Securities and Investment Commission) approved dealer group. Todd holds the Self Managed Super Fund (SMSF) specialist qualification for Australians and is an Authorized Will Writer in Hong Kong.

Todd is a licensed representative with the Hong Kong Securities Commission for Activities Type 4 (Advising on Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) for EXS Capital Asia Limited, our Hong Kong SFC licensed company. He is also an authorized representative with the Confederation of Insurance Brokers.
